Direct Buyer — Australian Businesses
I’m a direct buyer of established Australian businesses — not a broker, not a fund. If you’re considering retirement or succession, I’m happy to have a confidential conversation. No pressure, no obligation.

“You’ve spent years building something real. My job is to make sure it keeps going.”
About Me
I’m a civil engineer by trade — I spend my days assessing risk, planning long-term, and making sure complex systems keep running. I bring that same approach to acquiring businesses.
I’m not looking for a quick flip. I’m looking for something worth holding. A business with a real reputation, a good team, and an owner who wants to know it’s in safe hands.
What I’m Looking For
I’m looking for solid, boring, cash-flowing businesses. Not startups, not turnarounds. If you’ve been around long enough to have loyal customers and staff who know what they’re doing, I want to hear from you.
Proven track record. Not a startup or early-stage venture. You’ve already done the hard part.
Profitable and self-sustaining. I’m looking for a business that pays for itself — not one that needs rescuing.
The business can run without you present every day. Ideally staff who’ve been around a few years and know what they’re doing.
Your customers come back. Your name means something locally. Word-of-mouth still counts for something in your industry.
Primarily interested in Queensland and broader Australia. Open to discussion regardless of location.
Focused on small-to-mid sized businesses where the owner is typically involved in the sale directly — no intermediaries needed.
How It Works
I keep the process straightforward — no confusing stages, no time-wasting. Here’s what to expect from first contact to handover.
Phone, coffee, or email — whatever suits you. No fees, no obligation.
We talk timing, goals, and sign an NDA if you’d like before any financials are shared.
I’ll give you a clear ballpark figure and possible deal structure — no vague answers.
We work through the details together — properly, transparently, and without drama.
A fair agreement and a transition plan that works for you, your staff, and your customers.
Discretion
I understand that exploring a sale is a sensitive decision. The last thing you need is staff or competitors finding out before you’re ready. I take that seriously.
That’s completely fine. A first conversation doesn’t require you to share anything you’re not comfortable with. I’m happy to simply answer questions about my process and who I am before anything else.
If it helps, we can start with a brief call — no paperwork, no pressure.
